Malisa Kay Thompson Kegg, 51, of Francisco, Indiana, was tragically taken from us on December 31st, 2024, alongside her son Michael R Kegg III, service dog Noah Lane and her Yorkie Tyberius. Malisa was born on May 21st, 1973, in Marion, Indiana to the late Brenda Russell Vian and John Thompson Jr.
Malisa or Missy as she preferred to be called was a graduate of Oak Hill High School in converse, Indiana. She worked as a CNA for a while as well as for CASA and other various odd jobs before her Lupus ultimately made her no longer able to work. However, her greatest passion of all was her children Michael and Kira. She loved being a mother and then a Nana to her granddaughter Kathleen. Missy also loved being outside gardening and working on her flowers, cooking and baking, spending time with her family and her fur babies. Missy was a fighter and never let her illness stop her from living a full life and being there for her family and friends. She held strong in her faith and in her love of God.
Missy is survived by her daughter: Kira (Dane) Seydel, Granddaughter Kathleen, her step-Dad Steve Vian, her father-in-law Michael Kegg Sr., sisters Heather “Tweenie” (Greg) Mark, Ginger “lil Bear” Flore, Crystal (Shane) Ward, Valerie Stambaugh and brother Brian (Lorraine) Stambaugh. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Brittney (Colton), Courtney (Kinishia), Kelsey (Jaylen), Mykayla (Jay), Johnathon, Kelly, Shon, Richard, Jacob (Katelyn), Larissa (Shawn), Kyle (Racheal), Stephanie (Wayne) and William as well as her great nieces and nephews.
