Brian Douglas Toepfer

Brian Douglas Toepfer, 66, of Oakland City, IN, passed into the presence of his Savior on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospital located in Vincennes, IN. Brian was born on Sunday, December 13, 1959, in Wabash, IN, to Orion and Mary Jane Wylie Toepfer, both of whom survive. Brian attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, graduating in 1982 with his degree in engineering. He was a mechanical engineer for Hansen Corporation of Princeton for 24 years.

On July 2, 1983 in Wabash, IN, Brian married Cheryl DuBois, who survives, of Oakland City, IN. After marriage, he and Cheryl moved from Wabash to southern Indiana and started their family. Brian was a member of the Oak Grove Church in Oakland City, IN and enjoyed singing with the worship team there. He enjoyed sports and sharing his love of theater and musicals with his children, faithfully attending any performances including them. Brian was a giver, putting others before himself. He enjoyed being with his family and supported them in all the kids were involved in.

Brian is survived by his wife, Cheryl, of Oakland City, IN; his parents, Orion and Mary Jane Toepfer, of Wabash, IN; two sons, Steven (HarleeRay) Toepfer of Huntingburg, IN and Joseph Toepfer of Oakland, City, IN; two daughters, Rachel Toepfer of Vientiane, Laos and Abby (Corban) Doyle of Oakland City, IN; twin brother, Bruce (Beth) Toepfer of Winston-Salem, NC and Jeff (Leslie) Toepfer of Milford, MI; two sisters, Linda Abney of Kokomo, IN, and Janice (Phil) Harris of Columbia City, IN; and four grandbabies, Evangeline, Margo, and two more currently due.

Doyle Funeral Home of 520 S Main Street in Princeton, IN is entrusted with arrangements for Brian.
